Fall Wedding Ideas
Fall is right around the corner, and we are here for it! We love hosting fall weddings at the Iroquois Club because of all the inspiration offered by the colorful season! Check out some of our favorite ideas for celebrating your autumnal wedding.
Pumpkin Everything
Why should pumpkins be reserved for jack-o-lanterns and pie alone? Take advantage of this quintessential fall decor by including pumpkins in aspects of your wedding! You can have guests sign a faux pumpkin as your wedding guest “book.” Mini pumpkins work well as name cards, and larger pumpkins are perfect as table numbers! If orange works with your wedding colors, pumpkins are a no-brainer; use painted pumpkins if you want the seasonal shape but different hues.
Cider and Donuts Station
It wouldn’t be fall in MIchigan without a trip to the cider mill. A cider and donuts station is the sweetest way to celebrate the season and the beginning of a union. Perfect for cooling down from dancing or to warm up when the evening starts to get chilly. Your guests can enjoy an assortment of plain and cinnamon donuts paired with hot and cold cider (splash of bourbon optional but encouraged)!
Fall-Inspired Guest Favors
Gift your guests a favor inspired by your favorite season. Autumn offers a ton of edible options like pecan brittle, jam, apple butter, caramel apples, or maple syrup. If you’re feeling something a little stronger, try gifting hard cider (we love locally sourced options like Blake’s Hard Cider). If food or beverages aren’t your thing, wool socks, campfire matches or woodsy bottle openers make the perfect memento!
Seasonal Send Off
Move aside rice and bubbles, faux leaves are a perfect final touch for guests to throw as you leave your wedding venue!
Mock-Neck Dress
Last but not least you can’t forget one of the most important parts of your wedding: the dress! Autumn brides can rock mock-neck dresses, which provide more front coverage but are still seriously sexy. If a style icon like Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex dons it, we will too.
