Bridal Shower Game Ideas

Bridal shower bingo may be a classic, but guests may grow weary after playing it at every bridal soiree. For a fun twist, consider these personalized bridal shower games for the bride-to-be’s fete.

For the true love traveler-

Where Were We
Gather ten or more pictures of the to-be-wed’s trips to different locations. Number each picture and have guests write down where they think each picture was taken. For a nostalgic touch, add a memory of the vacation along with the picture. The guest with the most correct guesses wins! Bonus points if the prize relates to one of the destinations pictured in the game!

For the spirited bride-

Cocktail Competition
Put guests’ mixology skills to the test by having them compete on the cocktail to be used as the wedding day signature drink. Provide a full bar with labeled ingredients for teams to create and name the best wedding drink. The bride-to-be chooses the winner by selecting the drink that is her favorite.

For the hopeless romantic-

Romance Movie Trivia
This movie-focused game allows guests to show off their rom com chops. Give each guest a form  that includes quotes from popular romantic movies (you can find examples online or create your own!). The highest number of correct answers wins.

For the sweet tooth sweethearts-

Taste the Cake
Set up a cake bar complete with bite-size cake pieces of cake. This can include mini cupcakes, cake pops or cut-up pieces of cakes of different flavors. Blindfold players and have them guess each type of cake. Whoever guesses the most flavors correctly wins. This could also serve as a tie-breaker if the bride and groom are having trouble deciding on a dessert!

For the music-loving maiden-

Musical Matching
Collect wedding photos and first dance songs from the happy couple’s parents, grandparents, aunts, cousins, and siblings. Display photos for guests to see as you play first dance songs. The guest that matches the most couple’s pictures to the correct first-dance songs, receives a prize.

For the traditional bride-

Match the Tradition
Research unique wedding traditions from around the world, such as wearing black in Spain and releasing doves like the Dutch, to test guests’ knowledge. Have each attendee pair the country with the tradition and award bonus points if they know how the tradition was created. The person with the most matches wins.
