2022 Wedding Trends
According to the Knot, an estimated 2.6 million weddings will take place in the United States this year, a record high. With so many people getting hitched, it’s hard to narrow down which looks, themes and vibes will prevail. But here are five 2022 wedding trends we don’t see disappearing anytime soon.
MOCKTAILS
As the sober curious movement gains steam, couples are opting for alcohol-free options to offer their wedding guests. Not only is this a great way to save some money, providing creative mocktails makes everyone feel included.
ROMANTIC ACCESSORIES
An updated nod to the classic fairytale, romantic wedding accessories like simple tiaras and dainty hairpieces are continuing happily ever after in 2022.
WEDDING PAINTINGS
As most weddings scaled back in size in 2020 and 2021, the details did not suffer. One wedding trend continuing into 2022? Having an artist paint a scene from the wedding during the reception. It’s art; it’s entertainment; it’s a keepsake the couple will cherish forever.
FLOWERLESS CENTERPIECES
More minimalistic table settings with flowerless centerpieces are making heads turn in 2022. But brides aren’t going without floral décor; they’re simply moving the flowers from the tabletops to elsewhere in the wedding venue. Instead, flowers are popping up around the altar, chuppah or rafters.
NEON SIGNS
Neon signs emblazoned with names, quotes and pictures are all over Instagram, and we don’t see them disappearing from 2022 weddings either. Couples can choose between hyper personalized text (e.g. The Joneses - but check your grammar before ordering!) or simpler statements that reflect the couple’s love but don’t include their names (a great option if a bride and groom are hoping to resell wedding décor after the nuptials).
